Like those famous writers, archeologists, egyptologits, we sailed like 'Pashas' aboard this "Dhahabiya", restaured , & dating back from the late 18th centuary...
It was really a very very pleasant sailing by the force of the prevailing wind (North-South) between Luxor & Aswan...............
In this photo... It was our 'sublime' moment of departure from Luxor...
We were 8 aboard, 8 friends...who really appreciated, simple necessities of life, but apreciated more tremendously, the luxury of being aboard of an elegant 'Dahabiyah' from the late 18th centuary..
We felt like, Flaubert, Denon & Pierre Lotti discovring for the very first time the Nile banks...& seeing exactly what they saw in their writings...

Were you also to Abu Simbel? With the Dahabiya????

It must have been awsome to sail like this only pushed by the prevailing wind from Luxor to Aswan, on board of such a restaured old boat!!! I envy u Guys....
